Question...is the web cam going to be replaced at dockside???? Is the replacement in the process?
Is there an anticipated date of installation?
Do you mean St. John? There are many webcams here: http://www.caribbean-on-line.com/caribbean-web-cams/

I am writing to you in hope of getting some information. My daughter and her fiance are 19 and are sophmores in college. They want to move to St. Thomas when they graduate. They would like to steer their college majors and courses to something they could use on the island. My daughter is majoring in communications specializing in public relations, her fiance has not named a major yet. Anything you could possibly share, ie any career shortages on the island, growing businesses. Any information you have on housing, cost of living and so forth. They are hoping to have enough money saved to visit the island on the Christmas holidays. They are very excited about the whole idea. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I strongly advise visiting the island first as soon as possible - meaning - if they have not been there I wouldn't plan on making a career there!
Cost of living is high - it is a small island where most everything has the added cost of small market and extra transportation to get it there. Check the online newspapers for job listings, etc.
There is also plenty of other info already on this site under the relocation category: http://www.virginislandsmls.com/relocation_moving/
Will be visiting the islands December 2011 and need to find out if there is any type of a "Rent-It-Center" on the island of St. Thomas that would rent baby items such as carriages and portable cribs? Have been desperately searching for info to no avail.
Posted by: Debbie at September 18, 2011 01:51 PMWe would like to vacation on St. John and wonder if there is a hotel which caters to the handicapped. Walking is not a option, handicap bathroom is definite. Please reply...
Posted by: JANE DARGAN at January 20, 2012 11:48 PMI would look into the Westin or Caneel Bay - those are the two largest facilities on St. John and may be the best equipped for you.
